【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforestimatingtheequilibriumsolubilityofseveralcommongasesinpetroleumandsyntheticlubricants,fuels,andsolvents,attemperaturesbetween0and488K.Thistestmethodislimitedtosystemsinwhichpolarityandhydrogenbondingarenotstrongenoughtocauseseriousdeviationsfromregularity.SpecificallyexcludedaresuchgasesasHCl,NH3,andSO2,andhydroxyliquidssuchasalcohols,glycols,andwater.EstimatingthesolubilityofCO2innonhydrocarbonsisalsospecificallyexcluded.Highlyaromaticoilssuchasdiphenoxyphenyleneethersviolatethestatedaccuracyabove363K,atwhichpointtheestimatefornitrogensolubilityis43%higherthantheobservation.Lubricantsaregivenpreferenceinthistestmethodtotheextentthatcertainempiricalfactorswereadjustedtothelubricantdata.Estimatesfordistillatefuelsaremadefromthelubricantestimatesbyafurthersetofempiricalfactors,andarelessaccurate.Estimatesforhalogenatedsolventsaremadeasiftheywerehydrocarbons,andaretheleastaccurateofthethree.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
